My CD's

I counted about 190 of them, a few MIA. The furthest two boxes have punk, HC, post punk and some metal, the top box having the better albums, then organised alphabeticaly, the bottom box has the 'lesser' albums, also alphabetically by band. Next row, top box; finnish hip-hop, organised by catalogue numbers (some mixtapes, lone label ones etc above the box, next to some Jazz, Soul and Reggae). Bottom box, Hip-hop, ska and reggae and finnish reggae in a rather arbitary order. The last two stacks are mostly prog and classic rock.

Yes, that's 32 blank, four second tracks to hide a bonus song. What happened to merging the last song and the bonus song into one track witha little gap in between? I much more prefer that.

The redisgn was a year ago, if memory serves. Anyway, originally I plenned to make a collage for my header, but after fooling around in paint copy-pasting pics I got bored and did my orignial heared, which was just the picture of the leader of the finnish conservative party, Jyrki Katainen becoming more contrast as it went along, giving a rather demonic aura. Later I made a new version of it.

Anyway, I decided it was time for change, so I gathered some stuff and snapped a photo of it and made the new header.

On the left hand side, there are three I Ching Hexagrams, which can be read as the The Army and Following of Disorder.

So yeah, I was posting on the BBS, and suddenly noticed that my postcount was 23,175. That is, 23, 17 and 5, the holy numbers of Discordianism, which I'm a semi-follower of, and which is one of the main themes in The Illuminatus! Trilogy, which I've been re-reading lately.

Chaos is the Awnser, Anarchy is Order, Hail Eris, All Praise Discordia.

Twenty Three Thousand posts on the BBS (fellow Discordians get the joke). In a tradition of wasting GET's, I spent my 23kth post to speculate the relation of the amount of Furries and females on the site, which turned into a mini-essay, which, off course, maybe three people read.

At the same time, I've reached 30,000 tracks on last.fm, and if I counted right (I only noticed I had passed the marker two hundred and nine tracks later), the GET would have been The Pogues - Dirty Old Town, and I must say, there are worse tracks to have as a milestone. Rum, Sodomy & The Lash for everyone!

Seasons is maybe the most beatiful piece of rap music. It's an extended metaphor for the history of hip-hop, comparing the eras to the seasons. We are currently living in the winter, or, "the ice-age", as they put it, in refrence to the awful bling trend. While the song is a bit pessimistic about how rap had progressed since the end of the eighties ( the Golden Era, or Summer), through the nineties, into the new millenium, the last line suggests that it's time for the cycle to start again.
